The term Cyber Space denotes to the virtual area in which the data, files, pictures, etc. are stored and processed by the user of the computer. Cyber Space infrastructure consists of numerous routers, servers, earth stations, information super highways, and several interconnected personal computers.
The ‘Internet’ is the term denoted to the technical and physical network that interconnects all the computers around the world. The user can open up the World Wide Web (WWW) to take the information stored in the memory of the computers. The Cyber Space is expanding because of the increasing number of users, but one has to save their computers from trojans and viruses, that spread inside their computers and destroy the information stored in them.
The enemies of the Cyber Space, who manipulate the information stored in the computers for vested interests are called Hackers. They destroy or distort the information stored in the computers and replace it with false data. New laws are being framed that protect the user’s privacy and punish the offender who interferes with one’s mailbox, against the person’s wishes.
‘Firewall’ too can prevent the virus from entering into the memory of the computer. The ‘Firewall’ scrutinize the data and eliminate the unauthorised information stored in it.
Cyber Space is the wonderful boon to the mankind, as the user can get access to the whole world through it.
