There are seven continents in the world—Africa, Asia, Europe, South America, North America, Australia and Antarctica. Asia is the largest continent of the world. Almost half of the population of the world lives in this continent.
Africa is the second largest continent in the world. There are many forests, deserts and grasslands in Africa.
Europe is smallest of all continents but larger than Australia. Europe is a developed continent. The Europeans are cultured and decent people.
North America is the third largest continent in the world. It is also called ‘New World,’ as it was discovered recently.
South America is not a very highly developed continent. The main occupation of the people is agriculture and cattle grazing.
Australia is the smallest continent of the world. There are several rare animals found in this land.
Antarctica is the only continent in the world, where no human being lives. It is covered with snow. The night and day are of six months in this continent.
