Cinderella

Cinderella’s stepmother and two stepsisters treated her very badly and she did all the housework and slept among the ashes and cinders in the kitchen. One day, the prince held a ball to which everyone was invited. He wanted to select his bride. Cinderella was not allowed to go there but her stepmother and sisters went off. Thereafter, Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother appeared and transformed her into a princess with a magnificent dress and glass slippers. She sent her in a lovely coach that she made magically out of a pumpkin; she warned that she (Cinderella) must return before midnight. The prince fell in love with her, but as midnight struck, Cinderella ran home, leaving a slipper behind. The prince said that he would marry the girl on whose foot the slipper fitted. And after his soldiers had searched the kingdom among all the girls, he found Cinderella! They were married and lived happily thereafter.
