A farmer had asked Sheikh that whenever he passed by his farm, he should say, “Fly away birds!” So one day, while chanting ‘Fly away birds…’ Sheikh came upon a hunter. On hearing Sheikh’s chants, he started hitting him. “You are telling the birds to fly away, you fool! Here, I am trying to catch them…” shouted the enraged hunter. So Sheikh was told to say, ‘Get trapped…’ Sheikh set off, yet again. This time he was happily chanting, “Get trapped…” and came across a gang of robbers coming from a successful robbery. They started thrashing Sheikh as they thought that Sheikh was hoping that they would be trapped. They warned him that they would skin him alive and stuff him with a cow’s dung if he tried to trap them. Sheikh reached home bruised and bleeding. His mother ran to help him and asked what happened. Sheikh mumbled, “…trap birds…skin them…stuff a cow’s dung…” Ignoring her son’s mumbling, she dressed his wounds, wondering when he would grow up!
