“Hey, throw more stones.” “Hit harder!” Brian saw the boys throw stones at something. Curious, he crept closer. ‘I wonder what they are throwing stones at,’ he thought. To his horror, Brian saw a little pup cowering in the corner with fear. The boys were troubling the little pup unnecessarily. Brian was horrified. He hesitated. These boys were the ‘bullies’ of the school and they would not leave him if he said anything. But looking at the scared pup, he knew he just could not keep quiet. Brian shouted loudly, “STOP! Don’t trouble the pup. Otherwise, I will call the policeman uncle who lives just around the corner!” Hearing his stern voice and threat, the bullies ran away. Just then, Uncle Bob came running and said, “I had been searching for my pup and you found her. You even saved her from those mean boys! Thank you. I’m so proud of you!”
