Carla’s aunt gave her two big wooden buckets and told her to fetch water from the river every day. She used to get very tired. One day, she heard someone say, “May I help you?” “I can’t see you,” replied Carla, “Then how can you help me?” Suddenly, she felt the buckets being taken from her and she saw them being carried in front of her by an invisible, misty person. This happened daily for a week. Curious, Carla asked, “Will you show me who you are? I wish to thank you!” The mist became a handsome young man! “I’m Prince Edward,” he said, “I was cursed to remain invisible till a kind and hard-working maiden asked to see me! Now I’m free. Will you marry me?” Carla was so surprised and charmed that she fell in love with the prince. They were married and lived happily thereafter!
