As Bhairon started objecting, the King interrupted by saying, “I have made my decision. You will be married to him.” Bhairon Datta could not do anything. But he put a condition before the King. He said, “Since I am a Brahmin and he a Kshatriya, the law directs that before we can wed, he should perform a pilgrimage to all the holy places.” The minister’s son agreed immediately and left for the pilgrimage. In the meanwhile, one day, Bhairon Datta came to his male form. So, he had to run away from the palace. Since a long time had passed by, Shantideva was curious to know about Bhairon. He was in deep thoughts when Krantideva asked him what was bothering him. Shantideva told him everything. Krantideva became very angry and said, “Why did you give him the pill? He will misuse it.” He told Shantideva to find out what was happening in the palace. Shantideva was shocked to hear that Bhairon Datta was missing. He told everything to Krantideva.
