Once upon a time, there lived an elf named Berry. She was the prettiest elf in all of the fairyland. She was very proud of her looks. Berry’s mother always told her, “Berry, you must learn to be humble and kind.” One day, Berry was standing in front of her mirror, admiring herself and her new dress. Berry’s mother entered the room and said, “There is a nail sticking out on the floor. Repair it and be careful.” Berry did not listen to her mother as she was too busy admiring herself. Berry then carelessly walked past the nail and her dress got stuck in the nail. Berry screamed in horror; her new dress was torn. Berry’s mother said, “Berry, if only you had listened to me, this would not have happened. My dear, you must value what others say to you.” Berry hugged her mother and promised to be humble and kind.
