As we all know, nothing moves without money. Banking correspondence and its techniques, therefore, occupy a pivotal position in modern business and industry. Thus, banking procedures and practices have become a full time subject in modern education. Banking significance and it gives momentum to financial machinery in one direction or the other. So one cannot afford to be careless in this regard. The letters definitely call for careful drafting and proper despatching.
1. Letter for opening current account:
Dear Sir,
This is to request you to open a current account in the name of the firm as above. Enclosed please find the specimen signatures of our Managing Director, who is alone authorised to sign cheques on behalf of the company.

2. Letter to a bank for overdraft:

As already explained we need this facility to meet certain immediate financial requirements on account of our expansion programmes. Once the festival seasons starts I hope to receive a considerable sum of money from my customers. As desired by you, we are depositing saving certificates worth Rs, 50,000 as security.
