Bank of England

The Bank of England was built in London, United Kingdom, in its current location in 1734. Established in 1694, the Bank of England was initially located in Walbrook, London. However during its reconstruction, the remains of an ancient Roman Temple of Mithras were uncovered. As a result, in 1735 the bank was shifted to its current location where over the years neighbouring land was acquired to create the edifice it has today.
