Baby-Sitter Sheikh

Sheikh was very fond of children. One day, he played with a rich man’s son, Ahmad, in the garden. Ahmad liked playing with Sheikh and asked his father to take Sheikh with them. Ahmad’s father hired Sheikh to play with his son every day. He offered a good salary to Sheikh, too. But soon, Ahmad started complaining that Sheikh would talk with other people in the garden and paid less attention on him. So, Ahmad’s father warned Sheikh that he should keep quiet in front of strangers in the garden. One day, a thief happened to enter the garden. He found Ahmad’s valuable watch lying near his chair. Sheikh, who was sitting near by, kept quiet. In the evening Ahmad’s father came to know about the stolen watch. He scolded Sheikh. Sheikh said, “Sir, I was following your instructions only. You asked me to keep quiet in front of strangers.” Sheikh was fired, of course!
