Everybody waits eagerly for the annual day function in our school. We celebrate our Annual day function after the annual exams. This time, our annual day function was celebrated on 15th April.
Since I was getting four prizes, I was invited to sit in the front row alongwith VIPs. The function began with a prayer to God, thereafter a colourful dance was presented by tiny tots. The small children looked lovely while dancing in their colourful dresses. Then was my turn to present a self composed poem. I recited a poem, “I want to become Gandhi” there were loud cheers for me. Then was the turn of a smart girl who was to present a song. She sang so beautifully in her melodious voice, that all were enchanted. There was a loud clap for her song. Later on a drama was presented by a few talented students of the school. Their acting was wonderful. It didn’t seem that they were acting. It seemed so real. The prizes were distributed to the students by the chief guest. At last the chief guest gave his speech on the development of student’s personality and the function came to an end with the echo of claps.
