All roads lead to Rome

Origin
This is an early 19th-century proverb.
Explanation
There are many different routes to the same goal. All paths or activities lead to the centre of things. This was literally true in the days of the Roman Empire, when all the empire’s roads radiated out from the capital city, Rome. Any of the means or methods that one considers will bring about the same result in the end. When the end result is fixed, the means and methods do not make a difference. Whether one adopts a paticular method or means, the process leads to the same destination.
Examples
Mary was criticizing the way that Jane was planting the flowers. John said, “Never mind, Mary; all roads lead to Rome.”
Some people learn by doing. Others have to be taught. In the long run, all roads lead to Rome.
