Adolf Hitler in army

On 3 August, 1914 Adolf Hitler sent an application to King Ludwing-III requesting his recruitment in Bavarian Regiment. His application was accepted. It delighted him.
He got military uniform for a period of 6 years.
Adolf was finally called to duty. The army unit he joined was camping near Rhine river. The very next day the unit entered into Dei Wacheit Rhyne area border. The battle immediately began with rattle of gun fires and thunders of heavy artillery. It was soon smoke, fire and deafening sounds.
The unit had to dig in the trenches. After three or four days the unit emerged out.
Adolf Hitler was in First Company of 16 Bavarian Reserve Infantry Regiment. It was code named ‘List’. His company was sent on the battle front on 21 October, 1914. Adolf was given the duty of maintaining communication links between the Company and the Regiment Headquarter.

In 1915 the 16 Company was sent to Neuve Chepela where it faced the British army unit. The Germans and the British clashed at Schom and Bapaun. The battle between them raged on.
On 7 October 1916, Adolf Hitler got injured. He was transported to Germany for the treatment. After the recovery from the injury Adolf was again sent to the battle front in March, 1917 in the rank of Lance Corporal. At places named Ara and Wipurus his regiment ‘List’ inflicted heavy casualties on the enemy. Britain was fighting on the side of France. The Germans were battling bravely but the victory did not appear in sight.
Adolf Hitler also fought like a possessed person. For not getting anywhere near the clear victory he thought that some elements inside German army were working against its own interest. He was becoming sure of it and believed that Germans faced greater dangers from the inside saboteurs than the enemy outside. Something sinister was going on, he could say.
In October, 1918 when ‘List’ regiment was battling against the British army at Warwik area in southern Wipurus, the enemy taking advantage of the night darkness, suddenly used harmful gas. Adolf Hitler could see no more. He was blinded.
He had again to be sent to the hospital for treatment. On 11 November German army accepted defeat and surrendered. With that the First World War came to an end.
Adolf Hitler got the sad news while he was still in the hospital under treatment.
Later, he was awarded ‘Iron Cross’ for displaying bravery in the battle field. It was a small consolation. The defeat rankled in his mind. As his wont he began to analyse the causes of the German defeat. For long hours he brooded and pondered.
The reasons of the defeat began to crystalize in his mind. According to his analysis the biggest reason was the realisation by the French and the British that they were fighting an unfocussed enemy. The Germans were internally fragmented and lived in tensions. The Jews were trying to seize the country. And the Germans were helplessly trapped in Socialist democracy where only the corrupt and the compromising politicians held sway.
So, Adolf hated the socialist democracy system. But the Marxism and ganged up trade unions under its control were holding Germany to ransom. They would not let any other system get a chance. It was Germany’s helplessness and bane. For amassing wealth the Jews had encouraged vicious competition at all levels of life. In such a situation no one had time to care for the army.
