Today’s century is a century of economic growth. and because of this, Accountancy is considered to be the most prominent carreer. With the growth in different business and educational groups there are number of opportunities for a career in the field of Account.
Those young girls and boys who aspire to become an Accounts Officer must be a graduate from any faculty. Those who have studied commerce are more likely to be successful in this field. Many of the private institutions and private companies appoint an Account Officer. In many organisations, commerce graduates are appointed on the basis of their capabilities and experience. But for most of the private companies mathematical qualification and intelligence is most important than a person’s academic qualification. In government department persons are appointed with different designation, for example Accounts Examiner, Assistant Accountant, Assistant Audit Officer.
The age of eligible candidates to become an Accounts Examiner is prescribed between 20-25 years by collectorate of Custom’s and Excise. Rest of the government departments appoint candidates of age group between 18-25 years.
Examinations for audit are being conducted by Working Selection Commission. Examinations for audit involves two types of question papers. Time period for the first question paper is two hrs. and the maximum marks are 200. This question paper consist of 200 objective type questions and 1 mark is given for every right answer. Out of these questions, 75 questions are based on general knowledge, 75 on intelligence and 50 questions on english knowledge. The second question paper is also based on objective type questions. Time period prescribed for this paper is one hour. It consists of 50 questions and on every right answer 2 marks are given. i.e the total of 100 marks.

A merit list is prepared by taking into account the total of both the papers. The list based on the serial number and name of the Candidate is then displayed by the Zonal Officer. Many zonal offices have been established for examination related to audit. They are as follows:
