A Visit to Temple

On Janamashtami, we celebrate the birth of Lord Krishna. We took a bath in the morning.
We put on clean clothes and did our puja.
My parents took me to the Lord Krishna temple near our house. We took off the shoes outside the temple.
We bought flowers and incense to offer to God.
The temple was decorated with flowers and lights.
The priests were singing hymns.
There were a lot of people around.
A decorated cradle lay in the centre of the hall.
People were rocking it.
An idol of young Krishna lay in the cradle.
We offered the flowers and incense to young Lord Krishna. We prayed for the well-being of our family.
The priest gave us ‘prasad’.
When we returned, we shared the prasad.
I liked my visit to the temple.
