In a village, there was extreme poverty and people could hardly survive except some rich people who were living without any problem. One day, three rich men along with their servants were passing by the village. Poverty provoked different reactions in all three of them. The first couldn’t stand such poverty, so he took all the gold and jewels from his wagon and distributed them among the villagers, and left. Then, the second rich man passed by. He stopped after seeing such poverty and decided to help the villagers. He gave away all his food and drinks to them. He made sure that each villager received his just share and would have enough food to last for some time. Then, he left. Then, the third rich man on seeing such poverty, speeded up. He travelled straight through the village and did not stop. He travelled in the opposite direction.

From the distance, the two rich men saw the third rich man talking to some people. They were commenting on how foolish the third rich man was and that he lacked decency and sympathy. They thought that it was good that they were there to help the poor villagers. They were very disappointed with the third rich man and went away. Three days passed by; they met the third rich man who was travelling in the opposite direction. They saw him carrying farming implements, tools and sacks of seeds and grains in his wagon. They went to the third man. Then, the third man told them that he was teaching farming techniques to poor villagers. The two rich men understood everything. They felt like foolish people as they had given them only gold and food, and solved their problems for a few days. But the third rich man found a solution to their problems for lifetime.
