Once, there was a rat named Boro who lived in a farm. He always enjoyed the juicy vegetables of the field but big orange pumpkins were his favourite and he always waited anxiously for them every year. One year, the pumpkins were taking much time to turn orange. He was very curious to eat the orange pumpkins and never let others to have them. Whenever anyone tried to have them, Boro cut him with his sharp teeth. One day, he was guarding one pumpkin. He became very hungry and couldn’t wait even a second. Seeing a crow flying overhead, he called out for help. The crow agreed to guard the pumpkin while Boro went in search of food.
The moment Boro left, the crow whistled to his friends and within minutes they ate the pumpkin. When Boro saw the condition of his pumpkin, he screamed at the crow. The crow mocked at Boro, saying, “This is what happens to a greedy rat.” Henceforth, Boro shared his pumpkins with the other rats.
