Richard and Ricky were trekking with their father, one morning. It was Ricky’s first visit to the valley. When they reached the hilltop, Ricky started admiring the scenery. His elder brother, Richard said to him, “Hey, Ricky! I have a friend here who says exactly what I say. Do you want to hear it?” Ricky said, “Yes!” Richard called out, “Hey, you!” Ricky heard the words being repeated and was very thrilled! Their father, who had heard them all along, smiled and said, “Richard, please educate him properly.” “No dad! It’s really my friend!” said Richard, and he started laughing. “Let it go, Richard! Ricky, if you say something you will hear it again, too. It’s called an ‘Echo’. When you shout, your voice bounces off from the surface of the mountain and you can hear it!” said his dad. Richard and Ricky had a lot of fun creating echoes that morning.
