Will’s Favourite Teddy Bear

Will received a beautiful teddy bear from his grandmother on his fifth birthday. He never had a teddy bear, so he was very excited to get one. Will took the teddy with him wherever he went, to school, to park and even to bed. One morning, Will’s grandmother noticed that he was looking for his favourite teddy bear. He looked under the sofa, in the cupboard and drawers. Will’s bag was on his back and he was almost ready to go to nursery school. However, he did not want to leave without his teddy bear. “Will, what are you looking for?” asked his grandmother. When Will told her, she gently chided him, “Will, don’t you remember? You put the teddy bear in your bag!” His grandmother added, “My dear, the things we are looking for are often within our reach already. All we have to do is search in the right place.” Will was relieved and overjoyed!
