Gracie had many toys. Among them was a doll, which had golden hair and blue eyes. It was a little doll that fit snugly into her blue bag. Gracie was very fond of the doll and carried it everywhere with her. Whenever it was time to play, she would pull the doll out of the bag and have a tea party with her friends. One day, Gracie went to Beatrice’s house, where her friends were celebrating a doll’s birthday. Gracie put her hand in her bag to take out her doll, but the bag was empty. She panicked and told her friends about it. Her friends searched all around, but could not find the doll. Gracie was in tears. She was not in a mood to play. So, she decided to go back home. When she reached home, her mother handed her the doll and said, “Gracie, how come you forgot your favourite doll today? She felt lonely without you.”
