Nicholas and his friends used to travel around the country during their holidays. They used to go from village to village and work for their lodging. This way, they could save money and help people as well. One day, they reached a gypsy settlement outside a village. They found many women and children living in caravans. The women told them that the police had locked the men, since they did not have any travel permit. Nicholas knew that no travel permit was needed for travelling from one city to another. He knew that the police did this to harass them. Nicholas and his friends confronted the police. They told them to release the prisoners; otherwise, they would lodge a complaint against them in the next village. The police threatened to arrest them as well, but Nicholas and his friends were fearless. Ultimately, the police had to let the gypsies go.
