A long time ago, there lived an old king who had four sons. One day, the old king declared, “Whoever marries the most beautiful princess shall be crowned the next king.” The three elder princes soon married beautiful princesses. But the youngest prince travelled far and wide. One day, the youngest prince found a deserted palace where an old woman lived all alone. She welcomed the prince and gave him food and water. That night, when the prince was sleeping, a wizard attacked him. The prince drew his sword and killed the wizard. Suddenly, the old woman turned into a beautiful princess. She said, “The wizard had turned me into an old woman. The spell broke when you killed him.” The prince married the princess. He was crowned the next king, as his wife was the most beautiful and the kindest among all the princesses.
