Love is God

One day, while sipping milk, Sheikh Chilli asked his mother, “Mother, why is milk white?” His mother said it was because God made it so. Sheikh persisted, “But why did He make it white?” His mother said it was because God’s beard was white, too. After a few days, Sheikh came across an old man with a white beard. The curious Sheikh asked the old man why his beard was white. He replied that it was because he had become old now. “That means God is also old, as his beard is white, too!” Sheikh exclaimed. When asked how he knew that God’s beard was white, Sheikh told him that his mother said so. The old man wanted to meet Sheikh’s mother. Sheikh took him home. The old man was warmly welcomed by Sheikh’s mother. Thanking her, he said that he wanted to see God, since she seemed to have seen him. Sheikh’s mother understood what had happened. She smiled and said, “God is in the love people give one another.”
