The world-famous Albert Einstein was a genius, but he did not show such promise in his childhood. He did not speak until he was four and did not read until he was seven. Einstein’s teachers and parents thought that he was mentally challenged, a slow learner and a difficult communicator. What they did not know was that he just had a different way of thinking! Einstein was expelled from school and was refused admittance to the Zurich Polytechnic School. Einstein’s communication and behavioural problems did not mean that he lacked intelligence. It might have taken him a bit longer, but he did pretty well for himself in the end. Einstein won the Nobel Prize in Physics for correcting the deficiencies of Newtonian Physics with his theory of relativity. He is known to all as someone with the highest level of intelligence, and even young children know his famous equation!
