The Green Eyes

Bill and Bob were travelling. It was past midnight and they badly needed rest. So, they went into a hotel and asked for a room. “Sir, there is just room 341 available. Would you mind?” asked the man at the reception. “Why should we?” asked Bob. “We just want some place to sleep.” “Well,” said the man. “A woman pianist died in Room 342 two years ago. People say they have heard piano music at night. I am just warning you.” “We don’t mind,” said Bill, collecting the keys. That night, around 2 a.m., they heard the piano tinkling. They ran out and stood outside 342. Bob peered through the peephole. Suddenly, the music stopped. All he could see was a green blur. Bill peeped and saw it, too. The next day, when they returned the keys, the man at the reception said, “I hope the pianist did not trouble you. A sad story, it was. She had such beautiful deep green eyes.”
