The Sayhuite Stone is a big granite block at the archaeological site in southern-central Peru. It is 2 metres long and 4 metres wide with its upper surface carved with complex and mysterious figures. It resembles a scale model of the Inca Empire with terraces, ponds, rivers and irrigation channels depicted upon it. Researchers believe that it was used for designing, developing, testing and documenting the properties of water flow for irrigation. There are notches carved along the edge of the stone to allow the liquid to pour out, probably to develop, test and document the properties of water flow for irrigation or other projects.
