The troop went to Sugreeva and Rama and presented Hanuman to tell about his successful journey. Knowing what must be Rama’s anxiety, Hanuman first said that he had seen Mother Seeta. She was repeating Sri Rama’s name all the time and Ravana had not dared to harm her in any way. Hanuman gave her chudamani to Rama, who took it with tears in his eyes. He described all the events and told Rama and Sugreeva about the strength of Lanka and its soldiers so as to prepare them for the war. It was time to begin preparations for it now, he said, as Seeta was waiting for them. The army began its move to the south. Rama would often feel dejected thinking of Seeta’s plight, but Lakshmana, Sugreeva and Hanuman would help with their gentle consoling words. Soon they reached the shore of the ocean at Mahendra mountain.
