Once upon a time, there was a girl named Sophie. She had a doll, Poppy. She loved her doll a lot and always placed her on a shelf facing the window. Poppy loved to sit on the shelf and look out of the window. One day, Sophie forgot to close the window before going to her evening music class. It was a cold winter evening. Poppy caught a cold! When Sophie returned home, she saw Poppy sneezing. Her nose had turned red! Sophie put her in the warm sofa and asked her, “What happened to you?” Poppy said, “You had forgotten to close the window before going to the class!” She then started crying. Sophie said, “Don’t cry; I am going to take care of you and you will recover soon. I am really sorry!” But Poppy answered, “I am crying because the room is cold and we will have to use more electricity to warm it up.” Sophie understood what Poppy told her. From then on, she never forgot to close the window for two reasons: to save Poppy from the cold and to save electricity.
