Count Lev Nikolayevich Tolstoy, popularly known as Leo Tolstoy, was born on the 9th of September 1828 in the Russian Empire and passed away on 20th November, 1910.

Do you know that Tolstoy gave away most of his wealth in charity? He earned a lot of money through his writings, most of which he gave away to beggars.

Regarded as one of the greatest authors of all-times, Leo Tolstoy was a Russian writer. His most famous works include ‘War and Peace’ and ‘Anna Karenina’ amongst other works of fictions and plays.
