The Palace of Mysore was built in Mysore, India, between 1897 and 1912. The Mysore Palace was the seat of the Maharajas of Mysore, as well as their official residence, from the 14th to the 20th century. A 3-storey grey granite structure, the palace is a beautiful amalgamation of Hindu, Muslim, Rajput and Gothic styles of architecture. It has pink marble domes, a 5-storey tower and is surrounded by gardens.
Amazing Fact: The palace has several unique rooms such as the Doll’s pavilion that contains a wooden elephant howdah, decorated with 84 kg of gold.
