After scoring Victories over Rhineland, Austria, Sudtenland, Czechoslovakia and Denzig entire Poland was vanquished after 21 days of war. Enthused by these victories Hitler pressed on and crushed Holland, Luxemburg and Belgium.
Now Hitler was not even listening to the advice of his military generals. He had somehow come to believe that he was the smartest war strategist ever born. He signed no-war pact with Russia.
German navy chief was worried as his navy was weaker than those of allies.
Germany invaded Finland and prepared to vanquish Norway too. But Britain captured Norway in a pre-emptive move.
France crushed

On 10 May, 1940 German forces invaded France. German air force Luftwaf bombers kept pounding from the air. Germans battled with French and British forces in France. Mussolini attacked from the south. French and British forces got trapped in from three sides. On 14 June, 1940 France surrendered to German forces. British managed to escape to England through Dunkirk.
Hitler forced French to sign the surrender document at the same spot and in the same railway carriage ‘Versai Treaty’ was forced on Germans.
