Miracle treatment

There are many other legends of the miracle deeds of young Gobindrai. Even his pranks were meant to help someone in some way.
One day he was playing with his mates near the bank of Ganga. The boys loved to play on sandy beaches of the river. Ganga being a holy river attracted lot of different kinds of people and groups to its banks. So, there always was something new to watch at.
Gobindrai saw a leper on the bank. The grime he was covered with suggested that he never cared to take a bath. Gobindrai said, “Pals! Look at that leper man. He lives on the river bank yet never cares to wash himself. He needs a good bath. Let us give him one.”
The other boys squealed their approval. Suddenly all the boys led by Gobindrai converged on the leper who screamed in fright. Ignoring his protests the boys pushed him into the river. Still screaming the leper frantically flailed his arms and legs in the water to save himself from drowning. The boys squealed in delight to see his clumsy attempts.
Somehow the leper managed to drag himself out of the water. He wanted to curse the boys but when he took a look at his body he squealed in delight. There was no sign of leprosy on his body. He had been cured miraculously. He was a healthy man again. He looked at Gobindrai who was smiling benevolently at him.
The man fell at the feet of the child prodigy.
Jagta gifts
Jagta was a big merchant of Patna. He use to come to the prayers regularly.
Once he saw child Gobindrai in the lap of the mother Gujri. The sight of him gave a great peace to Jagta’s mind. He took the child and fondled him and rocked in his lap. He felt that in that act he had taken part in some holy and noble exercise. He gave the child several gifts of toys in thanks.
Then, Jagta had to go out of the station on a business trip. He asked the child, “Little Guru! What shall you want me to bring for you?”
Gobindrai unhesitatingly said, “I want a little bow, arrows and a dagger.’’ Jagta did bring the items for the young one. The kid gladly accepted them and always kept those items with him.
