Assume you fly from New York to Paris, across all six time zones, in four hours. After landing you immediately take off again from Paris to return to New York (you forgot a toothbrush) back across all six time zones.
If on the return flight it only takes three hours (you had a good tail wind), would you land an hour before or an hour after you originally had taken off?

Answer
Neither, you’d land seven hours after you had taken off! Remember, it took seven hours to fly; the time zones don’t matter.
