Face is a mirror of feelings and thoughts of a person, expression of the face is indicative and characteristic. If these indications and characters are carefully made out, a perfect picture of nature and behaviour of the person is appeared.
Every person, every society, every culture, every zone, every state, every nation and every geographical zone or island has its own type of the face, which is known for its own identity, importance and outline.
Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Aryan, Dravidian, Chinese, Japanese, Roman, Italian, Greek, Mongol, Bushmen, Nepali, Bengali, Gujarati, Tamilian etc. are having their own identity by face. Chinese and Indian faces can easily be differentiated. Likewise difference between the faces of children and old persons can easily be identified. Difference between faces are determined by their original outline. There are four factors which can make changes in the outline of the face :
1. Age Factor
2. Facial Expressions
3. Shadow and Brightness
4. Racial Factor
1. Age Factor
The shape of the face of children is mostly round and fleshy during their birth. Their skin is soft and tender. The nose is small and upwardly curved. The shape of the face gets changed with growing of age and the original size of face comes straight till the age of ten years. Then it comes to know what will be the shape and perspective of the face. The length of the nose also increases with grow of age and the nose becomes straight instead of curvature shape.

The skin and muscles develop in the age of adolescence and in the young age beards, moustache and other characteristics are appeared, but tenderness of the skin is reduced gradually. Length and thickness of the hairs are increased. In addition to this, size of head and face are also increased. The cheeks appear fleshy and tight with muscles. Tenderness of the face is lesser after young age on being adult. Beards, moustache become rough, the effect of muscles appears clearly, due to which initial perspective of forehead lines and wrinkles on cheeks is appeared and blackness is appeared below the eyes, but tightness of the muscles do not get reduced, so the face looks firm and normal.
In the old age, the perspective of face becomes deformed by reducing quality of skin and tightness of muscles, the cheeks become hanged, wrinkles are appeared on it and deep blackishness are appeared below the eyes. The nose becomes lengthier than that of earlier and the chin is also appeared more projected than it was earlier. The eyes are situated below in childhood, but they set up closest to the eyebrows with age grow up. Moreover, the size of the lips is also changed.
Line of closure of lips is upward in childhood, which becomes straight in young age and it is converted into downward curvature in old age. The colour of the cheeks becomes discoloured or yellow in old age and wrinkles are appeared on the face due to expansion and weakness of muscles. The cheeks appear bony or get hanged due to lack of physical strength, malnutrition and debility of neurological system. Entire face becomes glowless and ugly in old age. The face is fleshy, tender and smooth in childhood, but it becomes bony and wrinkled in old age.
Facial Expression
Happiness and sorrow are two natural instincts of the man. Impulses are produced by synthesis of instincts. If a needle pricks into the body, person feels pain, but if he knows that someone has pricked a needle intentionally to give him pain, anger will be created in his mind.

Feelings and impulses are always created, which effect the facial expressions. Perspective of state of mind such as pleasure, hatred, zeal, anger, annoyance, fear, jealousy, shame, repentance, love, determination etc. are expressed in the form of facial expressions.
Mind is changeable. Thoughts of the mind are rapidly changed and accordingly, state of mind and facial expression are also changed. Some persons are closely habitual with any specific instinct and this instinct takes permanent form of facial expression. In such situation original outline of the face is converted into an acquired nature of facial expression.
The expression of anger is clearly evident on the face of the person, who always remains angry. The nature of the angry person can be recognised by his facial feature. Eyebrow becomes curved and stretched, lips are expanded. Cheek and eyes get reddish.

The face becomes calm and line of closure of lips are upward, shape of the cheeks is round and projected as to express the pleasure. That time the eyes are seen chaste and sparkling filled with pleasure.
The line of closure of lips becomes downward in the state of annoyance and melancholic. The eyes appear stretched and glowless that present the sorrow and compulsion of the person. The face becomes pale and dim.

The eyes become stretched and eyebrows curved in the facial expression of hatred. A mixed feeling of anger and hate is appeared. The shape of lips is irregularly curved and cheeks become reddish and irregular.

In the same way other facial expressions should also be studied and analysed, by which the nature of the person can be signified.
Shadow and Aura
A natural shining is found in the face of every person, which is called aura. This aura is visible form of bio-magnetic force of the person. Strong and impressive person is formed with the advantage of strong bio-magnetism. An aureole is shown in the pictures of saints and gods. This aura is found in every person, but its density and intensity is variated person to person.
The aura is weak due to deficiency of physical energy and water, illness, tiredness, mental blockage, frustration, insult feelings, sorrow, pain etc. The aura is converted into shadow by vanishing of the bioforce. Aura of the face is destroyed at a time of death and shadow also becomes vanished, which resulted the face is put out. Absence of shadow and aura is a proof of death.
Aura is a light energy, which is a sign of character, truthfulness, self confidence, good health, self power, clairvoyance, meditativeness, wisdom, great personality, high biological and spiritual quality of the person, but shadow is the absence of these qualities and elements, which expresses weak health, impulsion, fall of character, absence of morality, absence of biological energy, inferiority complex, restlessness etc. Many times lustre is also appeared in the face of physically weak persons, which is the dominance of their sagacity, blissfulness, which does not destroy with reduction of physical power.
