Bribery is one of the greatest evils of the modern society. The person who takes bribes from others to do any work is the most cursed man of the world. These days the evil of bribery has spread its clutches in the entire nation. If we don’t take firm measures to eliminate it soon, then all the employees in the government and private sector would begin demanding huge bribes for doing petty jobs.
The educational institution would admit the children on the basis of donations their parents give to the school authorities, instead of granting admissions to them, after observing their brain power and marksheets. The bank-managers would take huge share for granting loans. Every other person would become corrupt. The bribery is a great curse to the mankind and we must take firm steps to stop this evil. Here are some measure that could eliminate this evil from the root:
❑ The government administrators should appoint trainers, who should instill the moral values of life in the minds of the employees. The employees should get trained up in the practice of spiritual and moral values of life.
❑ The measures to stop this great evil should be taken from the top to the bottom. If the upper authorities are allowed to indulge in this evil, then the people sitting on the lower positions would become shameless and corrupt, because this tendency to imitate the wrong habits of others tends to follow from the bottom to the top. For instance the bank clerk would follow the bad habit of the bank manager, and the bank manager would imitate the bad habits of the general manager and so on. The top officials must be made to practice honesty, so that their juniors follow their good habits and become respectable citizens of the society.
❑ There should be a public complaint box in every government and private organisation. No person should be restricted to file a complaint against the corrupt offices in the complaint box. In case, the complaints are found true, the guilty person should get severe punishment.
❑ The CBI officials should conduct raids in various organisations to arrest the wrongdoers. The CBI officials must be given ample rewards and awards for doing their job well, so that they are prompted to do their duty honestly and become a great asset to the society.
These suggestions could eliminate the evil of bribery from the root and make the nation a far better place to live on.
