We people tend to ignore the flaws and follies of our near and dear ones, but condemn others even if they are faultless. Take for example a mother-in-law who is jealous of her daughter-in-law, as she is over possessive about her son and gets jealous, when she see her son showing affection to his wife. She begins to insult her daughter-in-law infront of her son, so that he should change his attitude towards her. She hides the faults of her son, but finds faults in her daughter-in-law, everytime, even when she puts in her best efforts to please her.
The mother-in-law ignores every mistake that her son does, but keeps on finding faults in her daughter-in-law, who is more wise and brilliant than her husband otherwise.
Most of the mothers praise their own children, even if they are criminals and dacoits.
As ‘every potter praises his pot’ so does the people of the world. They ignore the faults of their near and dear ones, but acclaim them infront of others, even if they are wrong in doing so.
