The policeman is the guard of the internal territory of the nation. His duty is to protect people from the criminals. A dutiful policeman safeguards the rights of the citizens and arrest the culprits, who disrupt the law and order of the state.
A policeman must perform his duty honestly, he should not befriend the criminal elements of the society, nor take bribes from the corrupt politicians to save them from the punishments of their evil deeds. He must know that if the criminals are not punished the crime shall get encouraged in the state and none shall hesitate to kill, slaughter, steal, kidnap and rape women shamelessly.
It is the duty of the policeman to immediately register FIR against the criminals and catch them. He must not prompt the wrong-doer and suppress the righteous. The wrong doer must be suppressed and punished by the law.
A policeman must not favour the rich and influential people for their wrong doings. He must protect the weak from the strong and the poor from the wealthy criminals of the state.
The policeman must be able to discriminate between right and wrong, and he must tread on the path of truth, howmuchever difficult it might be.
The policeman must not kill innocent people, but should kill the killers and murderers of innocent people. The policeman ought to perform his duty honestly, else he is not a policeman, but a criminal in the sacred uniform.
