Dussehra

Dussehra is a famous festival.
On this day, Lord Rama killed Ravana, the king of Lanka. Ravana had kidnapped Rama’s wife, Sita.
Rama defeated Ravana and brought back Sita.
Dussehra is celebrated as a symbol of victory of goodness over evil.
We celebrate Dussehra to remember the importance
of being good and honest.
On Dussehra, huge statues of Ravana, his brother Kumbhkarna and son Meghnath are set on fire after sunset. The statues are stuffed with crackers. They burst as the statues catch fire.
There is a big fair outside the Ramlila ground.
People buy fruits, toys and crackers in the fair.
Everybody enjoys the festival of Dussehra.
